To correctly connect a camera PROMON Studio needs to traverse your systems firewall. This should be no problem if you are using the default Windows Firewall. The Pleora eBus SDK will automatically handle to open the desired ports. However, using an additional Firewall, Anti-Virus Software or VPN-Software might interrupt the connection to the camera.
We strongly recommend using PROMON Studio with a PC that has not installed any kind of software that might disturb the communication with the camera. If you are not able to find the camera with the GEVPlayer software (Windows Start -> search for “GEV”) please try to uninstall or disable any of the mentioned programs.
Note: If you have your Firewall disabled we recommend to prevent your PC from connecting to the www. Having a connection to the Internet without your Firewall active is a serious risk.
