After starting PROMON Studio an error message appears „Dongle not found“. Please proceed as following:       

  1. Close PROMON Studio software
  2. Make sure that the supplied dongle from your PROMON package is connected to a USB port of your PC.
  3. Check if the red LED on the dongle is on. If not, disconnect the Dongle and reconnect it after a few seconds. Windows should now recognize the Dongle and install the necessary drivers (message in the bottom right corner). The red LED should turn on. Try to start PROMON Studio again.
  4. If this will not fix the problem please open your Internet Browser and type in the following address:   localhost:1947
  5. You should now be forwarded to a Sentinel Administration page that is connected directly to your dongle.
  6. If the connection fails then either the Sentinel software is not installed (try to reinstall PROMON Studio software, will be automatically installed during the PROMON Studio installation) or a Firewall and/or Antivirus software is blocking the connection to the Dongle. If possible please temporary set all Antivirus software and Firewalls to inactive or remove them from your system.
