Make sure that you carefully followed the instructions in the installation guide to have all requirements ready to run the camera.
1. Make sure that your camera is powered and the GigE cable is connected correctly to your camera and the network adapter.
2. Make sure that the green and orange LED at the GigE port of the camera both are on (green permanent, orange blinking). Check your GigE connection (cable and/or network settings) if necessary.
3. Make sure that your PROMON dongle is plugged in and the red LED of the dongle is on. If the red LED is not on, reconnect the dongle. Make sure that the dongle driver software is installed.
4. If the camera does still not connect please proceed as following:
Close PROMON Studio and start GEVPlayer software (Click Windows Startmenu, search for “GEV” -> select GEVPlayer.
After
GEVPlayer has been started click Select/Connect
Camera. A list with your systems network adapter will be listed. The
network adapter (NIC) hosting your camera should display the camera (as a tree
child). If not, please tick the checkbox in the bottom of the window Show unreachable GigEVision Devices. If
now the camera will appear you might have set a wrong IP address to your NIC.
You need to set the IP of the NIC to an address in the range of the camera.
